President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi highlighted on Tuesday Egypt’s support toward the political process in Libya sponsored by the United Nations as well as the efforts for forming a government of national accord.
Sisi’s remarks came on Tuesday after receiving Akila Saleh, the president of Libya's parliament.
Presidential Spokesperson Alaa Youssef said the president confirmed Egypt’s interest in offering all forms of assistance to Libyan institutions in order to be able to preserve safety, security as well as national unity.
Youssef added that Sisi and Saleh tackled the recent political developments in Libya and that the latter expressed appreciation toward efforts made by Egypt for the sake of boosting stability and peace in Libya.
