They discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and the latest developments in Syria, Libya and Iraq, as well as the Egyptian-American efforts to achieve calm in Gaza in light of a recent truce between Israel and Hamas.
Meleb is visiting Washington to participate in the three-day American-African summit which started Monday.
