The Ministry of Tourism has announced that the lighting system in the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut temple and Ramesseum areas has been installed, and the archaeological areas will be open for tourists at night.
The official spokesman for the Ministry of Tourism, Rasha Azayzy said that the Ministries of Tourism and Antiquities and the local authorities of the governorates of Luxor and Aswan continue to struggle to revive cultural tourism in the area and raise hotel occupancy rates, especially in Luxor and Aswan.
The Ministry of Antiquities has agreed to open the archeological sites of the Valley of the Kings, el-Deir el-Bahari, Ramesseum, and Luxor Temple from 6 am to 11 pm in summer, and from 6 am to 9 pm in winter, she said.
