Investigations: Workers of Dahshour train crossing drug-free, driver did not speed

Giza Investigation Bureau Director Mahmoud Farouk said that investigators did not find drugs with the workers of the Dahshour train crossing and that the driver of the crashed train had not been exceeding the allowed speed.
 
The Dahshour train crashed into a minibus at the train crossing, killing 27 passengers and wounding 30 others.
 
According to an eyewitness, the iron chains at the crossing were not in place.
 
The crashed train was removed to a garage and movement at the crossing was regulated. Also, the drivers of the train and the minibus were released pending further investigation.
 
“The wreckage was all cleared,” said Traffic Department Director Medhat Qereitam.
