A policeman was killed on Monday after being shot in the head by masked gunmen on motorbike while on his way home.
Sharqiya Security Chief Sameh al-Kilany was notified by al-Ahrar Hospital in Zagazig that policeman Abdel Rahman Abul Ela, of 10th of Ramadan City security, was shot in the head. He passed away at the hospital.
Abul Ela is the eleventh among military and police personnel killed by gunmen in the governorate. Last victim was Lieutenant Colonel Mohamed Eid Abdel-Salam, national security office, who was shot dead on Saturday in Sharqiya.
