Egyptian citizen, kidnapped several days ago in Bekaa, northeast of Lebanon, was released on Tuesday as a result of efforts by Egyptian and Lebanese families.
The citizen called Mohamed Ibrahim Heikal told the state-run news agency MENA that he was in a good health condition and that he was released after the ransom was paid.
Heikal thanked the Egyptian embassy for following up on his case and that he has decided to return back to Egypt after the ordeal.
