The Egyptian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce held its first meeting on Wednesday evening to boost bilateral trade and investments.
At the first forum of the Egyptian-Chinese Businessmen Association, which was attended by 40 Chinese and 120 Egyptian businessmen, chamber president Moataz al-Saeed said the chamber is to work on overcoming investment obstacles and promoting trade opportunities.
“Economic cooperation should rise to the level of political relations between Cairo and Beijing,” he said.
The forum was attended by the Egyptian investment minister, the tourism minister, the Chinese ambassador and former Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf.
