Justice Ministry sources said the committee inventorying and managing the Brotherhood funds has rejected an appeal submitted to it by footballer Mohamed Abu Treika against seizing “Ashab Tours,” a travel agency of which he is a shareholder with a Brotherhood member.
Committee Secretary-General Mohamed Yasser Abul Fotouh said Abu Treika’s partner is a Muslim Brotherhood member who is currently imprisoned pending trial on charges of involvement in hostile acts against the state financed by the agency.
He said the committee carries out the provisions of the judiciary, stressing that everyone is equal before the law.
