Brotherhood guide and others charged with inciting riots

Prosecutor General Hisham Barakat referred Brotherhood Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie, former Minister of Supply Bassem Ofa and 28 other group figures to a criminal court Sunday on charges of inciting violence and banditry on the Qalyub Delta Road.

Two people died during the incident, which took place in late July, and 30 others were injured from indiscriminate shooting at passersby.

A National Security Agency investigation concluded that leaders incited the riots through the Rabaa al-Adawaya sit-in and organizing buses to take protesters from different governorates to Qaluybia.
