Approval for the president's performance at the end of his first year in office is still high, as nine out of every 10 Egyptians approve of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, according to the Egyptian Center for Public Opinion Research's (Baseera) poll.
The percentage at the end of the first year increased to 59 percent among those aged less than 30 years, and increased to 80 percent among those aged 50 or above, Baseera said.
Meanwhile, the percentage decreased to 73 percent among those with less than intermediate education, and 60 percent among those with a university education, Baseera added.
On the governorate level, the percentage of those who highly approve Al-Sisi’s performance vary from 64 percent in Giza, Fayoum, Luxor and Damietta, to 76 percent in Monufiya.
