‘Aida 4’ participates in maritime exercises with Cyprus

The training ship "Aida 4" of the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport, has participated in a maritime rescue exercise with the Search and Rescue Center of Cyprus, within the framework of maritime cooperation between the Mediterranean countries and Egypt.
 
The training focused on the evacuation of wounded passengers.
 
Before the exercise, the ship's crew met with representaties of the Center.
 
"Aida 4" also visited the port of Piraeus in Greece and Larnaca in Cyprus, before thre training. 
 
The exercise took place in Cypriot territorial waters, with the use of a helicopter specialized in search and rescue operations. A doctor descended on the ship deck, before evacuating the passengers.
 
The maneuver is the first of its kind with between Aida 4 and Cyprus. Aida 4 is the only vessel operating in the field of maritime training in Arab and African countries.
