The Egyptian Salloum border crossing has been closed as Libya wishes to prevent truck access, said Major General Al-Anany Mahmoud, security chief of Marsa Matrouh province, on Monday.
Passage of trucks to and from Libya was denied starting Monday, Anany said. Security authorities have been coordinating to implement the decision.
Anany indicated a stable security situation at the crossing.
