A German tourist suffered cuts and bruises after a limited fire broke out in a cruise ship called Miss Esadora in front of the city of Edfu, during its journey from the city of Aswan to Luxor.
There were 27 tourists of various nationalities beside the crew on board the ship.
The civil protection forces and police managed to put out the fire which broke out in a one of the ship's closed cabins.
The passengers and crew moved to another ship dubbed Royal Esadora owned by the same company.
The initial investigation revealed that the fire was due to a short circuit in a cabin.
